The Goz Legacy Website & Your Contributions

Greetings, Gozfriends!

We’re reaching out to you as someone who was touched by the extraordinary presence of Michael “Goz” Gosney. As you may know, Michael passed away in early 2022. Though he left this world too soon, his spirit, vision, and work continue to ripple through the many communities he helped shape and inspire.

To honor his life and contributions, we’ve created a digital home for his legacy. This site is a beginning—a living, growing archive of Michael’s writings, collaborations, projects, and aspirations. But it’s more than just a memorial. It’s an invitation.

Goz was a deeply collaborative spirit, and we know that many of you carry pieces of Michael’s story in your own—his ideas, his kindness, his laughter, his provocations. You’ll find that each section of the site includes an invitation to contribute—stories, audio, video, documents, photos—either credited or anonymously.

We welcome your reflections, memories, and any content that helps us deepen and expand this tribute to a life so fully lived.

Please take a moment to explore the site, reflect, and if you feel called, share something of your own.

Do you know someone who may not be on this list, who has something to share? Please pass it on.

Thank you for being part of Michael’s circle, and for helping keep his light alive in the world.

With love,
The Gosney Legacy Website Team

My 1997 KLR650 was my favorite motorcycle. I rode it the most—whether I was heading 100 miles or 1000—to Portland, Tahoe, or Baja. It was the everything bike, whether I was riding the superslab or picking my way through rocks, racing through sand, or fording streams, it was reliable, comfortable, quiet, and fit me perfectly. And...
